What you should know for your visit to Legoland Discovery Center of Arizona from our family to yours.
1.Convenient Location~You will find Legoland Discovery Center of Arizona inside of the Arizona Mills Mall right off of the I-10 and 40 next to Sea Life Aquarium. 5000 S. Arizona Mills Circle, Ste 135 in Tempe.
2. Quality Visit~One of the great features of the Discovery Center, is that they only allow a certain number of people in the park at any given time. This way you know you will actually be able to get utilize all of the great rides and attractions. The best way to ensure that you will get in is to purchase your tickets online before you go. You can find all the information you need about booking your trip on their website:https://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/arizona/
a. When my son was a toddler, I used to throw Legos away when I would find them on the floor. (GASP!!!) Then as he grew older and really fell in love with them, I decided to try and buy a lot of old Legos online. These things cost a fortune. They are practically worth their weight in gold.
b. Now think about the Discovery Center. How many Legos do you think it took to create a facility with several giant size Lego structures? How about the cost of the facility, the employees, the rides, the play area, the movie theatre…
c. It is around $26 ($30 includes the Sea Life Aquarium) per person. This is not too expensive for all of the attractions you get to be part of.
d. If you buy the annual pass for $65 or $60 per person with a family of 4 or more- and you go 6 times in 12 months, it is only costing you $10 a visit.
e. What else are you going to do with your Lego
loving child over the summer while you are stuck in
AZ?
4. Fun for Everyone ~ They have toddler zones, a playground, a LEGo Friends area, a cafe, and a lounge for parents where you can tune out some of the noise. The Discovery Center is even going to have adult nights (2nd tuesday of every month 7-9pm with monthly themes) where those of us who never stopped dreaming and building can come and enjoy creative time with "kids" our own age.
5. 4D Cinema-~My kids loved the 4 D Cinema, we had never had that experience before, so to have the wind and heat and bubbles mixed with some of their favorite Lego characters was a full body Lego adventure! Right now the all new Nexo Knights movie is playing.
6. Lego Miniland was themed after our very own Arizona, with Sky Harbor, football, desert landscape, and the Grand Canyon! It was interactive too, so the kids can push things and make the figures move.
7. Interactive Racers ~ There is a Racer Build and Test area where you can put together your own race vehicles and give them a chance on the track against other Lego lovers!
8. Design with a Master Builder~ Where else in the Valley can you meet an official Master Builder (Alex Posta) who will answer your questions and encourage you to be your own Master Builder? He inspired my daughter to build an ice cream cone and my son to build a desert environment. They were totally enamored.

I think they should include Agua Verde Castle, built by the Durham family that's in Vail AZ, in MINILAND. You can see it from I-10, but no one's allowed to tour it, since the family lives there. How cool would it be to become a mini lego building and everyone could satisfy their curiosity of what it looks like?
