I am always excited to ring in the New Year with my kiddos at 10pm when the NYC apple drops at 12am there :) Having a kids free night there is also plenty of fun to be had but here are some options for kids and families New Year's Eve events in Tucson for 2017!

What:Join the Children's Museum Tucson for a special New Year countdown! No late night for the kids - we'll do our countdown and balloon drop at Noon. Lots of fun activities all day. This is a regular-admission day.

What: THE LABYRINTH NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY AND MASQUERADE BALL!Prepare to dance magic dance as we ring in the New Year and celebrate the great David Bowie with a late-night screening of Jim Henson’s 1986 fantasy classic, Labyrinth, in a stunning new 30th anniversary digital restoration!

Featuring a Labyrinth Costume Contest before the movie (time to break out those capes and cod pieces!), pre-show Bowie music videos, fun goodies to use during the movie and a free champagne toast at midnight! And don’t forget to wear a “Masquerade Ball” mask less you miss out on all the magic! When: Our daytime family party is from noon- 3:00 pm.

What: Flandrau Planetarium Season of Light Holiday Show– An updated “fulldome” version of a holiday classic, this show traces the history and development of many of the world's most endearing holiday customs, all of which involve lighting up the winter season — from the burning Yule log to the lighting of luminarias in the American Southwest. Audiences will learn a selection of Northern hemisphere winter constellations, and find out why we have the seasons. Season of Light is visually rich, culturally inclusive, musically satisfying, and soothing as a warm drink on a cold winter's night!

What: Noon Year's Eve Glow PartyThis is a Glow-In-The-Dark Session! We turn on our state of the art special effect black lighting in the arenas for you and your kids to bounce around on our giant, soft, fun-filled interactive inflatables during Pump It Up Open Jump Time. Additional glow accessories are available for purchase at the front counter. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. Please no outside food or drink allowed.
