The Lodge on the Desert Restaurant {Tucson Restaurants} #Giveaway

The Lodge on the Desert Restaurant
{Tucson Restaurants}

We go out to eat A LOT. When we travel, we often enjoy trying new places and cuisine as a family. We also do this in our hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Recently, The Lodge on the Desert, a classic boutique hotel in the heart of Tucson has come under the new executive chef, David Solorzano. There is a new summer menu, summer hours and a separate entrance for diners that are not coming from the hotel
We were impressed with everything we experienced during our recent staycation which you can read about HERE.

We were hosted at this property in exchange for our thoughts on this post. All photos and opinions are that of Arizona Families unless otherwise noted.

During our stay, we had the breakfast buffet daily and although a few staples stayed the same .... think yogurt, fruit, and cereal. The hot items changed to different selections- even chicken fried steak and gravy plus different pastry options each day. It was a tasty and plentiful buffet.
For our dinner, we chose from the current summer menu and the bar menu both with fabulous options. For starters, the mole frites  were fabulous. The potatoes were generously topped with pork mole. The Mexican chocolate sauce blended with chiles and a perfect sprinkle of fresh cilantro was "delicious".  I had the creamy and indulgent gorgonzola pasta and my husband ordered pulled pork tacos from the bar menu. He ate every bite.

The kids meals were HUGE. The cheeseburger and chicken fingers  and the kids enjoyed them. I was very impressed with the fresh fruit bowls that came with their entrees in lieu of french fries for no up charge.
Drinks and desserts were some of our faves- of course! I tried the prickly pear margarita and my hubby opted for the classic. I often choose sweeter drinks and this was sweet but not full of intense sugar or syrup. I may have tried the classic margarita too. Both were delicious. For dessert, Kahlua flour-less chocolate cake, and vanilla cheesecake were both rich and decadent.

  2. The menu looks very yummy!! I thinkI would try the caprese stack for starters, then the artichoke hearts for the main dish andI am loving the vanilla cheesecake for dessert. I would stick with non - alcoholic drinks but I'm sure the hubby would envoy a cold brew for dinner. Thanks for another giveaway opportunity
