What is the best way to celebrate Halloween?
In Disneyland of course! Any time of the year at the Disneyland Resort is magical, but there is something really special about Halloween Time at Disneyland. The extra spooky touches really add to the magic! Luckily, our friends over at Get Away Today have discount Disneyland tickets and low hotel rates, making your vacation not only spook-tacular, but affordable! You can even use promo code AZFAM to get an additional $10 off your Southern California vacation package.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort this year is definitely going to be one to remember. From September 15th to October 31st, you can experience all that Disneyland has to offer during this festive season! I’ve broken down all the exciting happenings that will be going on so you can take a closer look. Now through Monday, September 4, 2017 get $13 off Disneyland Park Hoppers for your fall visit. There are layaway plans available too.

First things first, we have all grown to love the décor in Disneyland that comes every year. The hand-carved jack-o-lanterns that dot Main Street, U.S.A. along with the giant Mickey pumpkin that greets you as you enter the park are classic and so fun. And of course, you can’t forget about the must-see Dia de los Muertos display in Frontierland. This year, Disneyland isn’t the only park getting a ghoulish make-over. All the festive fun will be making its way over to California Adventure, too! Right when you enter the park, Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas greets you with bats circling overhead. A daunting Headless Horseman statue will be in the middle of Buena Vista Street, so have your camera ready for an eerie photo op! Don’t forget to head over to Cars Land, where Radiator Springs will transform into Radiator Screams, and all your favorite Cars will be dressed up in their very own “car”-stumes!

Not only will Cars Land be decked out in its Halloween best, but some of the rides are getting their own festive additions! Take a spin on Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween! Both of these rides are in addition to the favorites that appear in Disneyland each year. That means Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy will be back to continue the haunts this year.

To really heighten your Halloween Time experience at Disneyland, go to Mickey’s Halloween Party one of the nights you are there! This is a separate ticketed event that gives you the opportunity to dress up in full costume and trick-or-treat with some of your favorite characters and villains. Those without a party ticket won’t be able to stay in Disneyland park during the party. Make sure to either grab a Park Hopper, or use your 1-Park per Day ticket in California Adventure for the days the party is going on. Or, even better, join in on the fun and purchase a party ticket!

If you are deciding on when will be best for you to travel to Disneyland to celebrate Halloween, you might want to consider traveling in October and adding on a few nights in San Diego. During the entire month of October, San Diego attractions are offering their “Kids Free” promotion! This includes popular attractions like, SeaWorld San Diego, The San Diego Zoo, The San Diego Safari Park and more. With each paying adult, a child gets in free. So that means you can get discount attraction tickets from Get Away Today and have your kids get in free! I don’t know about you, but free is one of my favorite things, especially when it comes to some of my favorite attractions in San Diego. Add free to the amazing savings you already get with Get Away Today and you really can’t go wrong!

Southern California is the place to be during the fall season this year. With Get Away Today’s discount Disneyland tickets, plus San Diego’s “Kids Free” promo, the next few months are going to be remarkable. When you book your trips, let my friends at Get Away Today help you. Their customer service is awesome, plus when you book a Southern California package with them, you can use promo code AZFAM to get an additional $10 off! Book online at getawaytoday.com or give their agents a call and mention AZFAM at 855-GET-AWAY.
