Teacher's Get a Discount...

 If I have any teacher readers, this is for you!

Tucson Values Teachers is a regional organization to help K-12 teachers.  Straight off their website, here is their initiative:

Tucson Values Teachers is a regional initiative determined to prove that we should not just talk about the importance of improving education, but must unify in action to Retain, Recruit and Reward our K-12 teachers. The actions TVT takes recognize the critical role of teachers in our region and the vital influence they have on Tucson's future.

Right now teachers can get a Discount card that can be used until the end of 2010.  Just head on over to the Tucson Values Teachers Website and fill in the form.  They'll mail you your card and you'll be able to take it, along with valid Teacher ID, to local business to get great discounts.

Did you know that teacher's spend about $300 of their own money for supplies for their classrooms (estimated by researching on the internet, total will vary from teacher to teacher).  The items are small (paper plates, stickers, certificates, etc) but the money adds up.  Don't forget to donate school supplies to your local schools and change that fact!  We get some great deals, if not free deals, from couponing, so spread the wealth and help the teachers out!

Oh and don't forget to thank your kids teachers every once in a while.  They most likely don't hear it from the kids, so show some appreciation for their time, effort, and love of teaching our kids!
