Kid's Summer Reading Programs- FREE Books + more!



For the past couple of summers my son has participated in summer reading programs and we will be doing it all over again-wohoo! 
We may even have little sister join in :)

1.  Pima County Library- This program has already begun and you can go to any Pima County Library branch to pick up the summer reading packet.  There are prizes all along the way for babies, kids, teens and adults!  If your child is too young to read-you can read to them and they can still participate. Go HERE for all the info for KIDS, TEENS and ADULTS!  
There are also many  many fun free summer events HERE on the calendar!

2. Borders-  this program offers a free book after your child has read 10 books- For downloadable form and more information HERE.  There is a kick-off party tomorrow 6/4/11.
What:Double-Dog Dare Kickoff! Progam at Borders To start their summer reading program for kids to read and earn free books-with a Judy Moody theme.
Where:Borders at Park Place
When:2pm
Cost:FREE


3. Barnes and Noble - This program offers a free book after your child has read 8 books- For more information and to download the journal go HERE.  There is a kick-off party tomorrow 6/4/11.
What:Summer Reading Program Kick-off  at Barnes and Noble- Kids in grades 1-6 can earn a free book- this kick-off party will discuss info. and have snacks and sidewalk chalk drawing!
Where:Barnes and noble- 5130 E. Broadway Blvd.
When:11-12noon
Cost:FREE

4. Bookman's Their awesome programs run all year long!

5.  Maricopa Library Summer Reading Program-Looks to offer similar options and get a voucher for a free book,  For all the info. including events go HERE.
