What:Tucson World Refugee Fest is held annually to commemorate World Refugee Day, a tribute to the remarkable courage and determination of tens of millions of refugees uprooted by war and violence. This free family celebration will be held on Saturday, June 18 starting at 5pm at the Downtown Main Library Plaza and will feature music, dance and art from countries around the world, as well as ethnic food and interactive activities. We went last year and it was HOT but sooo worth it!
Soccer Tournament this year!
This year’s festival also features an international soccer tournament where refugee teams from all of Arizona will compete for top honors.

Join Desert Museum Education Specialists Jesús García to explore ethnoecology of the Sonoran Desert region. Sample native and traditional foods and learn techniques to gather and process them. Experiment with natural fibers, pigments and medicinal plants.

What:The Three Bad Wolves Play Little Red Riding Hood, The Boy who Cried Wolf, and the Three Little Pigs had it wrong when they accused the wolves of being bad. This hilarious interactive musical play lets these misjudged wolves get a chance to tell their side of the story.For more info. and tickets go HERE

The proceeds support Southern Arizona schools through DonorsChoose.org, the official charity of Loews Hotels; a web-based not-for-profit that provides essential classroom tools to teachers across the country.
