What: Bear Down Fridays! First, at 6PM get pumped up at the official pep rally with exciting performances by the Pride of Arizona, Cheer, Wilbur & Wilma. Now featuring a new kids zone with mini horses, slip & slide, sand box, face painting, and more! Stop by the University Chipotle for Bear Down Friday and show us your  catcard and Wildcat School Spirit on5pm-8pm and you’ll be hooked up with a free burrito, bowl, order of tacos or salad.

WHAT:UofA Family Days AKA Poetry Joey! Seriously, these are the BEST!!!!  First one for the Fall!  My son was just asking a couple weeks ago "When are we going to the Poetry Center?"
We have been many times and they even had refreshments last season!!
 Poetry writing workshops for youth ages 4-6, 7-10, and an infant sing-a-long class (new this season) meet concurrently.Owl and Panther Project/Speak Peace Reading from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Participants from the Hopi Foundation’s Owl and Panther Project recite original work on themes of war and peace in response to Speak Peace: American Voices Respond to Vietnamese Children’s Paintings, on display at the Poetry Center from August 29 to September 23. What:My-Oh-My Apple Pie Weekend A celebration of all things Apple Pie! Start your day with our famed “All-You-Can Eat” pancake with apple pie syrup breakfast, served both mornings from 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Enjoy free samples of our scrumptious apple pies! Indulge in homemade Apple Crumb Pie ice cream! Apple-smoked burger lunches served 11:30 AM – 4 PM. Complimentary wagon rides to the orchard for pick- your-own apples.

What :Charlie and the Chocolate Factory w Johnny Depp Bookmans is sponsoring this month’s drive-in fundraiser since our movie fits with their “Fight Censorship” September theme. They will be passing out FREE Bookmans t-shirts to the first 50 through the gates, and we will also raffle off some Bookman’s gift baskets! Pick up a coupon for a FREE popcorn or soda at any Bookman’s location.The gates open at 5:30 PM with the feature film starting at 7 PM. Suggested donation is $10 per car. Vehicle space is extremely limited, but there are plenty of chairs at the front near the old-fashioned drive-in speakers for those who want to “walk in.” (Feel free to bring your own chair, too, if you like!)
