What:Festival of Flight- Wings Over the Desert celebrate animals with wings: birds, bats and butterflies! The weekend will kick off with the opening of the much anticipated Raptor Free Flight Program & the Celebration of "Year of the Bat". Spend the day enjoying raptor programs, live bat encounters and lectures, tequila tasting, hummingbirds, live bugs, special presentations, hands-on science exploration and so much more! What:Valley of the Moon Haunted Ruins The Evil One has kidnapped the great Wizard, and only one inept apprentice, and you, can save him. Join us for this exciting and interactive show celebrating 88 years of fun and adventure. Finally, a Halloween Show that everyone can enjoy! Take a tour of the historic fantasy gardens at Valley of the Moon, while getting to know the magical denizens along the way. . Wear your favorite costume.

What:Sam and Latch's Hairy Halloween This action- packed show  is suitable for all ages, though the show contains loud noises and some scary moments which may frighten small children. "Quirky deputies, Sam and Latch, take on more than they can handle when a terrifying Wolf-man stops in town for a quick snack.
When:every night in October at 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. and an additional show at 9:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays

What:Skippyjon Jones Visit- if your kids are into the dressed up characters- honestly mine aren't very into it...bring your camera to take a pic with the cool fictional charcter!

What: Buckelew Farm tractor-drawn wagon rides to and from the pumpkin patch where you can search for the perfect pumpkin ($0.45/lb).  11-acre corn maze, festival games, feeding the animals at the 4-H petting zoo and the pedal cart race track. What:TUCSOn Meet Yourself- The giant amazing festival is back!  I love October and this is one of the reasons!  You will have to arrange your visit based on the HUGE schedule of events HERE- so many local performers and exhibits- henna hands and feet- batucaxe and Thai food are some of my favorite picks.

What:Pumpkin Fest Enjoy old-fashioned family fun picking your own pumpkins, fall vegetables and apples. Pumpkins of all sizes, shapes and colors will be available for picking in our huge pumpkin patch. $3/person fee includes hayride to the pumpkin patch and children’s play area.

What:Halloween at the Mini-Time Machine The museum will be decorated for Halloween during the month of October. Each Saturday in October, join us for a storyteller at 11am, our Kids Create Family Fun Program from 12pm-4pm and a flashlight tour of the “haunted” miniatures in our collection from 4pm- 5pm. All included with museum admission. Free for members.

What:Zombie FairThere will be free zombie makeovers (while supplies last) by the organization The Zombie Walk, The Slaughter House's 30 foot mobile haunted house, a Summit Hut survival table and Tucson Comic Con artist meet and greet. If you weren't impressed by that wait until you hear this. There will also be free photos in the Bookmans photo booth, have a chance to play the coveted "Zombies Ate My Neighbors", watch the classic 1968 "Night of the Living Dead" and we are raffling of a signed copy of the "Zombie Survival Guide". This is an all ages event, but not for the faint of heart. So, start practicing your best zombie moves because this is going to be one spooktacular event. When:12noon-3pm
