I helped my son, who is 5 and finishing Kindergarten create an account at www.bookadventure.com and he was hooked immediately.

What is it?  A free on-line program for kids grades K-8 that helps motivate them to read.  It offers reading suggestions and reading comprehension quizzes at the appropriate level!

We found a few books around the house and 3 out of 5 were in the database!  He re-read Germs, Germs, Germs and then took a quiz on it.  He earned 100 points which got him very excited!  He can use those points as they accumulate to get prizes- ALL FOR FREE!

Now, just if I could get off the computer from blogging and let him read more books is what he informed me before he went to bed. :)
