What: Purim Extravaganza and Carnival One of the most delicious holidays on the Jewish calendar is the holiday of Purim, which Temple Emanu-El celebrates with a spectacular, new musical parody every year. This year’s travesty, er, terrific musical revue is Beauty and the Feast (of Purim), based of course on the Disney classic, “Beauty and the Beast.” With cast members Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon, Rabbi Jason Holtz, Cantorial Soloist Marjorie Hochberg and so many others, the story of Esther, Mordechai, King Ahashverosh and Haman has never been so magnificently or comically retold. In addition to “Beauty and the Feast (of Purim),” the Sunday morning Purim Extravaganza, includes a marvelous program of music, dance, songs and stories culminating in our annual Purim Spiel, immediately followed by the annual Purim Carnival. This carnival will be the best ever, so come prepared for carnival games and Wii game championships, train rides, face painting, jumping castles, clowns, great food and prizes - More info HERE
