My Family Loved the Circus! Shows 6/23 and 6/24

Interactive Pre-show!
We went to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus on opening night, Thursday , June 21 and had a fantastically fun family time! The Pre-show was worth coming early for and is included with all tickets.  Neither of my kids had ever been to the circus and my 6 year-old son was enthralled every second!  He did notice a few things that I am sure only a detail-oriented kid would though!  he was very interested in how the lights are programmed and kept looking up to watch them move to follow the performers.  He really LOVED the dragon theme and the dragon light formations that were cast on the arena floor.  I am telling you he took notice of EVERYTHING!

My almost-three year old daughter particularly admired the animals.  The elephants, dogs, cats, alpacas, goat, donkey, tigers and lions were fun but she keeps talking about the horses!  I think I have a horse lover :) If you would like to make your Circus adventure a bit more frugal (like we did) you can buy inexpensive glow sticks or toys before the show and give them to your kids!  We did promise the kids popcorn though :)

I wish that I could have captured my husbands look of disbelief when the Shaolin were performing.  He was captivated by them! My mother was also taken by the Torres family and their motorcycle bravery in the steel ball!I personally, enjoyed the overall experience and the Male Lion- who was just so regal, expressive and human-like.  The lionesses were a fiesty which was also neat and added a fascinating element of danger.

If you have not made plans to go to the Circus- there is still time.
