Today is Feed the World Day and Govinda's wants to help feed Tucson with it's delicious Indian-inspired vegeterian food!
We love Govinda's- You also get a mini-zoo experience with chickens, peacocks, Macaws, turtles and Koi around the restaurant.
What:Feed the World Day Festival Live Music, Health Related Booths, Hands-on Demonstrations,Lifestyle Ideas, Eco-Friendly Vendors and a FREE six course mealFeed the World Day is based on a simple principle: for one day,
the world should experience a wholesome, vegetarian, karma-free
diet, paving the way for a peaceful and hunger-free world. In past
years, Feed the World Day has fed over 4 million free vegetarian
meals worldwide.
It is a call to action for the world to move away from a
meat-based diet which robs the Earth of vital resources and leaves
millions homeless and hungry. We'll have live music, chanting, educational booths and we'll
share vegetarian food in remembrance of the world's 1.3 billion
hungry. The fact is that if Americans reduced their meat
consumption by 10%, enough grains would be saved to feed 60
million.
