 Nature Nights: Bugs and Blacklights As the sun sets, the desert comes alive with a vast array of fascinating wildlife, many of which are insects. Some insects are attracted to light; we exploit this tendency to invite insects to our viewing site. What: The Crossroads have stood for centuries, keeping everyone's favorite fantasy worlds in existence, and watched over by Zogog the Gatekeeper. But he has been captured by the Evil One, who intends to destroy the fantasy worlds by breaking the crossroads! Come join Sam, the gatekeeper's son, as he searches through worlds such as Narnia, Oz, Hogwarts, Middle Earth, in the hopes of saving his father and reality itself! What: Discover the Dinosaurs is for the entire family, and especially kids, to explore the mystery of pre-historic life in an environment of learning, discovery, and fun. Discover the Dinosaurs is a unique hands-on exhibit that consists of up to 60 museum quality and animatronic dinosaurs that gives you the opportunity to actually get close and touch the dinosaurs! Beyond the exhibit, additional fun activities are available for kids of all ages, which make spending the day with the dinosaurs a great experience for the entire family. What:The Diary of Anne Frank In 1942 Amsterdam, a 13-year old Jewish girl and her family are forced into hiding to escape deportation to concentration camps by the Nazis. Isolated from the outside world, they lived in constant fear of being discovered.During the two years in hiding, young Anne recorded her thoughts, feelings and the events around her in her now world-famous diary. After the war, the pages of her diary were found scattered on the floor of the annex where the family had been hiding. Though Anne perished in the concentration camp, her story lives on through her diary. When: April 11-21 Thurs.-Sat. at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. Where: PCC West 2201 W.
