What:Pennington Street Block Party is a family-friendly event in the heart of Downtown Tucson celebrating what young people do to make our community a better place. It’s fun for all ages: Enjoy musical performances, teaching demos, interactive booths, one-act plays, art exhibits, carnival games, and more! All outdoor stages, booths, and activities The Block Party started in 2009 as a community event to showcase youth creativity, learning, and service, as part of Global Youth Service Day. What:Preschool Storytime Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. What: Butterfly Magic at the Gardens...walk through an amazing live exhibit where exotic butterflies fly by and even land on you! See the stages of metamorphosis in front of your eyes!
