What:Chalk Festival Park Place will be transformed. The walkways surrounding Park Place’s north streetscape will explode with color during the second annual Park Place Chalk Art Festival, as professional artists and attendees create their own unique designs, drawing on inspirations from nature, outer space, history, science, culture, abstract ideas and more. Community Participation Mural - A community participation mural will be developed utilizing public participants, students, and event attendees in a progressive addition model that allows for a single themed piece of art to grow a super-sized street mural. The public participation mural will be administered by a local teaching artist to facilitate the growth of the signature piece as well as onsite instruction for emerging and amateur artists from an established artist. Kidzone - Park Place Chalk Art Festival Kidzone is a space where imaginations soar and children ages 3-12 can participate in their own original pieces of chalk art.
