Wyndham Westward Look Grand Resort for Families! ~ Enter to win a Tropical Escape

We enjoyed our stay at the
Wyndham Westward Look Grand Resort
It was a relaxing family vacation abundant with many interesting things for all of us. After a quick and easy check-in, we immediately begin investigating our room. The first thing the kids did was run to the patio of our second floor room.  The door had a high pin to keep it locked and safe from little hands. The patio is where they spotted there first of many fun nature themed highlights- a dove on her nest with two babies!
That evening we headed off to  the Gold dining room which overlooks the Tucson cityscape. There are elevated booths so all the tables get the breathtaking views.  The dinner was delicious - highlights for us were the prickly-pear butter and the prickly-pear lemonade!  The kids meals had many options and were only $6.  The fries were so tasty, mommy and daddy had to steal a few.  My husband's picante shrimp dish and my chicken zucchini pasta were so fresh, made with ingredients from the gardens on the resort grounds. This summer, Westward Look has themed weeks during their Tropical Escapes.  It is an opportunity to try something  with flair from a tropical destination around the world.  You can order the cocktails or menu from the Lookout Bar and Grille, room service or poolside.
There are 3 Pools:  Main lobby pool with beautiful planters. music and a basketball hoop, a lower pool near the garden (our favorite) and a lap pool near the Sonoran Spa. At the lower pool  I enjoyed floating and looking at a fabulous Century plant bloom and there was less hustle and bustle for our younger kids to practice their strokes.
The kids spent a lot of time at the pools; we went 2 times each day but the Chef's garden was just as exciting for them! There were grape vines that you could pick off the fruit and eat after a long swim, tomatoes, zucchini  chiles, Swiss chard and beautifully blooming artichoke plants.
The grounds are a well established desert property with butterflies, hummingbirds, plants, blooms and other wildlife!  We checked out binoculars to use around the hotel - free of charge. There were six Great-horned owls living in a Eucalyptus tree that I captured the last evening of our stay when they flew out and about. There is also a nice naturalist room up the stairs from the main lobby that my son and I investigated together.
