5 Reasons to Stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites Tucson

We recently played tourists in our own town.  We love Tucson and everything it has to offer. If you follow my family-friendly event calendars you know there is so much going on all over the Old Pueblo- every single day.  We live on the far Northeast side and sometimes we don't go to night events with the kids because it is a long drive for us back home and honestly who wants the "fell-asleep-sleep-in-the-car-bobble-heads " all the way back?

We had the opportunity to stay at the newly renovated La Quinta Inn and Suites on Alvernon just north of Broadway. To see rates and room availability go HERE.

These were the top 5 things that we loved about our La Quints stay:

1. Location- There are all kinds of restaurants, a Target and a movie theatre just around the corner at El Con. Not only was it fun for our little staycation but I think our visiting friends and family would love this location.  We chose to go to the Reid Park Zoo Summer Safari and the Children's Museum Tucson for a nighttime event. You can see my local Tucson Family Event Calendar HERE.

2. Friendly Service- The front desk staff was incredible. They started to tell me about things to do with the family. They were not put off by my two minions running sweetly sashaying around the lobby when we checked-in. They accommodated a late check out and were happy to get us anything we needed during our stay.

3. Great breakfast- The breakfast is included with the room and was much better than I anticipated. Waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juices, coffee and pastries/breads were fresh and a great start to our mornings before our hard days at the pool.

4. Pool Access- Although the location of the Inn is wonderful and we did leave for those 2 nighttime events listed in #1, we mainly lounged by the pool.  Our room was adjacent to the pool area and we could use our first floor patio to go back and forth. The pool has a large shallow area where adults can relax and kids can play.

5. Renovations- Our room had new wooden floors, tile and carpet. The room was very spacious and felt open, clean and bright. There was a microwave and mini-fridge. This is always a plus when traveling with kids.

I was offered the stay to write this review but all of the opinions are my own. #sponsored
