FREE Admission at The Children's Museum Tucson

BEYOND at Children’s Museum Tucson focuses on active play
FREE admission day Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016
Tucson, AZ (Jan. 4, 2016) – The Children’s Museum Tucson, 200 S. Sixth Ave.,  will have free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, as part of the citywide BEYOND event. The Children’s Museum is one of the sites for the BEYOND Kick-Off Event: “Together We MOVE!” where families will celebrate health and wellness from noon to 3 p.m.
The BEYOND event is a remembrance of the victims of January 8, 2011, and a celebration of community. It encourages people to get out, be active and embrace what life in Tucson has to offer.  At the Children’s Museum Tucson, families will enjoy obstacle courses, hula hooping and jumping rope outdoors along with science and arts activities throughout the Museum.
“CMT has hosted this fun event for 5 years since its inception,” said Hilary Van Alsburg, Director of Philanthropy & Learning. “We are proud to be part of the celebration of all that is wonderful in our community, kicking off the New Year with an opportunity to come together with family and friends and get moving!”
There will also be activities, entertainment and a Community Health Fair across the street in Amory Park and at Armory Park Senior Center. Food Trucks will also be on hand.
Free admission for BEYOND is made possible through the financial support of our sponsors:  Tucson Medical Center, Madden Media and Tucson Unified School District.
