It's here- the free Summer Learning program (May 21-July 16) from the Pima County Public Library! Kids can pick up a Summer Learning gameboard, read 20 minutes a day, and get stickers to mark their progress. Don’t forget to follow suggestions on the gameboard for fun and easy ways to enhance learning and build creativity at home!
This summer, for the first time, teens are encouraged to jumpstart their dreams at free events designed to inspire, educate, and entertain. From 3D design and coding to sewing and yoga (and everything in between!), there’s something for everyone. Plus, every time teens attend a program, they’ll be entered to win cool prizes, and receive a certificate showing the skills they learned.
From Science Spectacular to Commotion in the Ocean Yoga Storytime, more than 300 free events make up this year’s Summer Learning Program. A few highlights include:
Saturday, July 9, 1-6 pm
Pima Community College Downtown Campus, 1255 N Stone Ave
Arizona authors · Make a costume · Cosplay contest · Kendo · Anime · Magic the Gathering
Saturday, July 16, 8-11 am
Zoo Celebration at the Reid Park Zoo, 3400 E. Zoo Court
Visit any library to get your invitation starting June 16.
