Sisters Morales’ vocals and rhythms provide listeners with the full spectrum of their Mexican American heritage. The charismatic sisters Lisa and Roberta Morales grew up in Tucson, Arizona sitting in with Mariachis inheriting their families Mexican culture. The Morales’ are now based in San Antonio where Texas and Southwestern music is influenced by blues and rock sounds. Every original and traditional song reveal Sisters Morales’ creativity.
Sisters Morales repertoire mixes and blends influences of rock, country, blues, folk, and, of course, Latin. Along the way they’ve played with Los Lobos, George Clinton, Santana, George Strait, Sly Stone, Merle Haggard, Allison Krauss, Little Joe y La Familia, and Trace Atkins. They’ve graced festival stages all over America, Germany, France, Mexico, Switzerland, and Belgium. They’ve been called the “Female Los Lobos” and the last of their four CD’s, “Talking to the River,” was produced by Los Lobos’ Steve Berlin.
