Dia de los muertos ~ Day of the Dead and All Souls Procession Events 2016 Tucson

Dia de los muertos / All Souls Procession Events 2016 Tucson

One of our communities most wonderful events is coming up!
I cannot wait to go again to the All Souls Parade :)

Dia de los muertos is a celebration that mixes pre-Colombian practices in the Americas with those of Roman Catholicism. It is a celebration to honor the dead with festivities, altars, food, song and cleaning of grave sites.

Many Mexicans and Mexican-Americans celebrate this holiday that coincides with celebrations of All Soul's Day, November 1st and 2nd. To read more about the traditions or celebrations go HERE.
