What:Mud Day at Reid Park Zoo

“Mud pits” will be set up to allow children and families time to literally get their hands dirty! Specially trained “Nature Play Partners” will be available to encourage natural investigation, and provide skills, tools and resources increasing everyone’s comfort level with guiding play-based learning in natural settings, or unstructured nature play activities at home.

Discover species that rely on mud – animals use mud both for protection from insects and sunrays.

Our friends from the Tohono Chul Park will be visiting with fun, muddy activities including making mud slime and mud dough, and painting with “magic mud!”

This event will be a little messy, so plan your wardrobe accordingly. Select clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, or wear a modest bathing suit. A hose will be available to wash off afterward and there will be plenty of sunshine and warmth to drip dry when done!

Mud Day is part of a continued commitment to get families back outside, enjoying nature at places like Reid Park Zoo!

When: Saturday, July 1 8:30-11:30am

Where: Reid Park Zoo 3400 Zoo Court Tucson AZ

Cost:Included with Reid Park Zoo Admission or with membership TICKETS
