What:TEP’s Saturday events continue on Aug. 19 with Solar Saturday at the Children’s Museums of Tucson and Oro Valley. Children and adults alike can explore the interactive, hands-on exhibits on energy and solar power that promote a greater understanding and appreciation of science. Participants can visit TEP’s solar-powered trailer for updates on the company’s solar energy systems, tour the TEP-sponsored Electri-city exhibit, and watch a demonstration that explains what happens when the sun vanishes in the middle of the day during the upcoming total solar eclipse on Aug. 21. Get free special glasses for safely viewing the eclipse. This event is part of a series of fun, low- or no-cost events for families to enjoy every Saturday in August in celebration of TEP's 125th year of service to the Tucson community.
