FREE Admission and Event at Children's Museum Tucson {1/13/17}

Let's kick off the New Year of Art after Dark with creative flair! A free program to enjoy at the Children's Museum of Tucson!


Puppets Amongus presents the oldest art form in the world. . . Storytelling with shadows!
Master puppet maker Matt Cotten teams up with musician Dante Rosano to tell short stories with sound and shadows. 
6 pm: "Horse Hooves and Chicken Feet"
7 pm: "The Enchanted Ax"
Visitors can also play in "Zoomorphia," and interactive shadow experience. The Head of a tiger. . .a buffalo body. .with ballerina legs? Use puppet pieces to invent one-of-a-kind creatures. Then puppeteer the characters on a giant screen!

If paper is your medium, join Young Rembrandts of Tucson in the Art Studio for a step-by-step drawing lesson and create your own cartoon character.

Every second Saturday, the Museum hosts two local arts groups at the Museum for FREE hands-on fun from 5:30-8 pm. Enjoy our beautiful courtyard, or step inside for some play-based learning. The first 400 people who attend will get a pass for one free visit to the museum.
