Social Distance Family Activity #1
{Social Distance Family Activities}
I have not blogged for a.long.time. This is my first post since March, 2020. We have been home, quarantined for over 100 days. Our state, Arizona has seen a surge in Covid-19 cases and luckily, we are able to stay home but the kids get a little stir-crazy. I taught summer school virtually. The kids have taken music and art classes through Zoom, we read all the time, and we are wearing the dishwasher out.

Social Distance Family and Kids Activity#1
Little Free Library Fun
We went though our bookshelves and found books to take in the car to give to the little free libraries as we look for a new book or two ourselves. The quick and free exchange is a beautiful thing. My ten year-old reads a book a day so it easy for her to add her finished book to the box in the car and her excitement is palpable when we pull up to a new free little library in hopes of finding a new read.
5 Tips:
1. We use disinfectant wipes on our donated books and when we get a new book we also let it sit in the sun for a few days.
2. We use the map found HERE and choose 2-4 locations near each other to check out.
3. We go in the evening when the Tucson, Arizona temps have usually lowered a little bit.
4. We take lots of water and sometimes pick up a drive-thru treat like Eegee's (watermelon is July's flavor of the month).
5. We let our dog come for a fun outing in the car since we only get out for a few minutes.
Have you gone on adventures that are socially distanced yet out of the house that you love? Share in comments please- we NEED more ideas :)
GLAD YOU'RE BACK IN THE SADDLE again!
