The current show running from Labor Day weekend through November 6, 2022 at The Gaslight Theatre Tucson is the Wizard of the Rings! 

I recently had the opportunity to see this production and (SPOILER ALERT)........... the "Companionship of the Ring" does the right thing and saves the world, yet it is so easy to love to hate the bad guys and gals too. 

Janée Page, Heather Stricker and Ruthie Hayashi knock it out of the park with their evil characters and soaring vocals! David Orley adds his wicked charm to the wizard, wobbit, and elf hating character,  Zazaran.

Will your family enjoy this show even if they don't know anything about this tale of the powerful Great Ring?  We did! We were not familiar with the storyline beforehand at all and we all had a great time. The actors are having so much fun on stage, it is contagious. The silly characters that popped in like Papa Smurf portrayed by Jacob Brown made us all laugh out loud. Mike Yarema is the innocent wobbit Froyo and when he is so "serious" about acting his part in situations like getting (himself) caught up in a giant spider web, you just cant help but have a good time along with him. 

All of the characters sing, dance, and act with pizazz and the storyline could really be about anything with these professional multi-talented melodrama actors on the Gaslight Stage. Families will have a great night out! The show is perfect for date nights too- be sure to look at the date night deal below.

In the Gong Olios, following the main show, husband and wife team, Todd and Erin Thompson really shine as they cheer "Hey" Mickey on and make it past the gong! The Gaslight live music band that accompanies the entire show truly rocks- Linda Ackermann on keys, Derek Norman on bass guitar and Adam Ackermann on drums!
