How often do you do taco night for your family?  My kids just started liking tacos recently.  Actually it's more like nachos after they give up on being able to eat the tacos the right way.  They end up with a plate full of toppings and then just break the taco shells into pieces. 

I don't know about you but when I grew up I remember being super excited when my mom would say it was taco night.  That's why I try to do it once a month.  I was lucky to receive an offer to use Old El Paso seasoning through Myblogspark.  I usually buy this seasoning anyway so it was easy to give a review of it. 

I decided to make nachos the other night, instead of tacos because I had Fry's brand nacho chips that were on sale for $1 last week.  I used ground turkey and used the Old El Paso Seasoning that was sent to me.  I spread the chips onto a cookie sheet and put the meat and cheddar cheese on top.  Cooked it at 350 until the cheese was melted and then pulled it out.  I put salsa and guacamole on top and called it dinner!  I also cooked up some Old El Paso refried beans that I had in the pantry and served it on the side.  I wasn't sure if my kids were going to like it so I didn't want to put it on top of the nachos.  Who knew they would eat it up and ask for seconds?  I love finding out my kids love a new food because it opens up so many possiblilities for more dinner options.  

I learned something new from this opportunity; I didn't realize the amount of  taco seasoning mix selections there were.  There is Burrito, Cheesy Taco, Chili, Fajita, Taco, Mild Taco and even a seasoning with 40% less sodium.
