FRIDAY 4/1/11
What:Fourth Avenue Spring Street Fair- The usual gigantic revelry of food, artistic wares for sale and entertainment!  400 arts and crafts booths, 35 food vendors, 2 stages and a kids hands-on art pavilion.

SATURDAY 4/2/11
What: TSO for Kids- Flute, Viola and Harp!  We love these free programs for kids. This week is a story about a ghost flute.  I have been informed that TSO is considering cutting there kids program due to financial strains please support w donation if you can and let them know you support these programs by contacting at this email:tmarshall@tucsonsymphony.org

What:Sabino Canyon Star Party-Learn about Astronomy and see the wonders of the night sky telescopes.  This is put on by Mt. Lemmon Sky Center and UA Science!

What:  Greenfest- A day at the Tucson Village Farms!  Music , activities and more to begin and sustain a greener lifestyle.Look for the giant inflatable rooster (ran on solar :) )  Plus if you bike there you will get a gift certificate to Bookman's. What:Southern AZ Language Fair/Worlds of Words-  These are kind of two separate activities but really they are both at the UofA at the same time :)  My students will be competing in the Language Fair -YAY!  it is a day of competition but you do not have to be competing to enjoy the other activities-dancing, music and booths galore all with an international flair PLUS the Dept. of Education will be holding a "Worlds of Words": event with stories in many different languages and even some giveaways in celebration of Hans Christian Anderson's birthday.
When: 9am-12noon
Where:University of Arizona-Language Fair-courtyard next to Education/Modern Languages /Psychology buildings-Worlds of Words Education bldg. Room #453
Cost:FREE plus Free parking at the 2nd Street garage

What:Autism Race/Resource Fair - You can still participate in race w/walk up registration plus they say at the resource fair "We will have music, food, an extensive autism resource fair, trains, jumping castles, Greater Tucson Inclusive LEGO Club, many kids activities and more! KLPX will also have their mobile van onsite". Check out their flyer HERE

 What: Pima Air and Space Museum Make and Take model airplane-for children 5 years and older and their adult companions, this program is designed to introduce students to the hobby of model building and the math and historical research used to build accurate scale models. Each student builds a snap tight airplane they can take home and has a chance to view models made by expert model builders. More info. HERE

What:Family Night @ Create Cafe Jumping Castle - I called and this will be every Saturday night starting tonight! There will be a jumping castle, lots of games, music, and movies. There will be $2 Kids meals and $1 tap beers for the parents!

SUNDAY 4/3/11
What:Keep on Truckin' - A big truck fest for the little (or big) truck lover in your life...Dumptruck, Firetruck, Ambulance, Semi-crane, race car and more! I drove by and saw the sign and thought how cool!  There will also be music, food and a rock wall to climb.  We are sooo there! For more info. call 745-5550

What:“Party Hearty™ Zumbathon® charity event”, benefiting The American Heart Association
The event is open to the public and you don’t have to have previous ZUMBA® fitness experience to participate. Over 20 certified ZUMBA® Instructors will take turns leading the party on top of the stage, with DJ’s spinning while surrounded by flashing, colorful lights. Participants are encouraged to dress in Red. Raffles, Door prizes and information tables from several fitness facilities who are hosting the event will also be included.
