The Tucson Festival of Books is the amazing celebration of all things literary in March but this competition is NOW-deadline for submission is 12/1/11.
Here is how to send your young author's work:
- The competition is open for age levels ranging from pre-school through high school.
- We're looking for stories with compelling characters, satisfying development, vivid use of language and distinctive style.
- These should be original student-initiated work, not retellings of movies, TV shows, books or other media.
- Maximum length is 1,000 words. Entries must be accompanied by a filled-out cover sheet print out the PDF).
- Entries must be postmarked or e-mailed by midnight Dec. 1, 2011.
Stories can be submitted two ways:
- Mail the cover page and story to Tucson Festival of Books, Young Author's Competition, PO Box 32653, Tucson, AZ 85751.
- E-mail the cover page and story to youngauthors@tucsonfestivalofbooks.org
