What:Laser Holidays It's definitely not our Tucson-classic show, "Dark Side of the Moon," but it's just as fun! Lean back under the planetarium dome and let your spirit sing along with classic and pop holiday favorites as our laser system scans images at more than 30,000 times per second to create the illusion of solid-image animations.
This 40-minute show features classic holiday music by Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby and Burl Ives as well as more contemporary pop favorites by the Eurythmics, Enya and Mariah Carey.
It's a show the entire family will enjoy (feel free to sing along!) and a great way to warm up after a look through our 16-inch reflecting telescope in the observatory (it's free, and our volunteers will show you the best the night sky has to offer!).
Note: Family Days and Nights get you all exhibits and shows for one low price! Thursdays from 6 to 9 pm and Sundays from 1 to 4 pm. Come check it out before our current exhibits close on Jan. 1!

What's behind the symbols of Hanukkah, and what astronomical phenomenon might explain the mysterious "Star of Bethlehem"?
