The Two Amigos {A Family Review and Tips}

The Two Amigos
{A Family Review and Tips}
We were hosted to see this fun show but as always my ideas and tips are my own to share on Arizona Families.

Ready for some good old fashioned fun with your family? Come to the Galsight Theatre in Tucson's to take part in their current show, "The Two Amigos". See below for some tips to make it an even better adventure with your familia.

Will the evil Maximo succeed in his despicable plan to continue to steal taxes and take over the entire pueblo of Santa Feliz, somewhere in Old Mexico? It is so good to see that maybe two silly amigos who are traveling performers (played by Jake Chapman and Mike Yarema) turned revolutionaries, could possibly win! Being brave and standing up for what is right really might actually work against the treacherous powers that be. It helps us remember that ordinary people can become heroes.
Along the way, we will meet all kinds of señoritas, even ones that may prefer evil ways like Carmela (played by Heather Stricker), bandidos, and honorable citizens. We will see if the Two Amigos will be triumphant in their journey.
The cast always has such a wonderful dynamic. In particular, the bromance between Todd Thompson (playing Maximo)and Mike Yarema (playing one of the amigos) always seems to reflect in their characters taunting of each other. I may be wrong, but I think these guys have a real life bromance ;)

Tips for Families at The Gaslight Theatre

1. Book a table close to the stage or on a level of flooring up one step. This will help little ones see all the action really well.

2. Ask for a booster seat. They have these cool little bench-like booster seats available that allow little ones to get into more of the action.

3. Come for a meal or just for popcorn and dessert. The popcorn is free and even refills are free of charge. Sometimes we will only have popcorn and dessert, especially if we have come during an off meal time like a 3pm showing. If not, we almost always share a large pizza - make sure to get different toppings if you would like. You can also ask for it to be cut into smaller slices. The prices and food are a hit with our family.

4. Take pics before or after the show in all the various cut-out billboards around The Gaslight and Little Anthony's- a great way to extend the family fun! We often visit the Gaslight Costume Shoppe too. We also try to book our show at the same time as a Little Anthony's Car Show or Gaslight Craft Fair to make it more of an excellent adventure.
5. Book the next Gaslight Show while you are there to get the seats and times you really want and make sure to join the email list for great discount offers and too be in the know.

No matter the show theme, The Gaslight Theatre is entertaining for families. We always laugh and play along. Get yourself to see a show on Broadway (Broadway and Kolb) to have a wonderful day out with the ones you love the most.
