GIVEWAY-Three prizes to give! EXTENDED

Many of you may know about the key-chains that are reusable coupons at participating McDonalds in Southern Arizona. They are small key-chain tabs like the one pictured above. The coupons are good for:

$1.99 Hamburger kids meals (2 per visit)

$1 off any lunch or dinner extra value meal

It expires on 12/31/2010

They state good at participating locations in Benson, Douglas, Green Valley, Nogales, Oro Vallry, Marana, Sierra Vista, Tucson and Wilcox.

Here's a little thrifty trick that I do:

Family Craft: Letter A

I don't know why, but I can't get this picture to be vertical, sorry...

This is a great, easy way to get some skill practice in for your kids and have some fun at the same time.

First, Mommy/Daddy, get out a piece of paper, pencil and ruler. Cut a piece of paper in half.  Make 2 pencil lines down the paper as shown and one line across the last strip.

Get those scissors out, it's time for some scissor practice kids!  Parents don't go anywhere!  Help your child get the correct hold of the scissors and cut the straight lines.  (Don't get discouraged if they can't do it folks, that's what the other side of the paper is for, cut out 3 extra strips)

Now have them glue the strips onto a piece of paper in the shape of an A.  I used half sheets for my playgroup.

Get those markers out and have them follow the strips of paper.  If your kiddo is really young, then maybe pre-make the line with pencil and have them trace it with the marker.

The kids might say, "what do I do with this paper"?  There will be an extra rectangle that they can use to practice their names and glue on the back of their letter A paper.  Again, if your kiddos are very young, make their names using dots and have them trace the letters.

Have Fun!
