CVS and Wags Clearance

I went to both stores today and both are still 50% off Christmas clearance.

CVS: I didn't get a thing, but scanned my card and got a FREE $1 ECB.

Walgreens had some additional percentage off of their small candies.  I got character Hershey candies for $0.10 (using for baking..freeze for later and chop or shred for recipes).  Bags of candy were $1 (M&Ms, spiced gum drops, sparklets candies (peppermint).  I also strolled through the toy aisle and they had signs that said $4 off $9.99 toys and toys priced $6.99 were buy one get one!

Bookman's Christmas/Holiday Clearance 75%

I was at Bookman's Speedway location today in Tucson and they have all their Christmas/Holiday items 75%off! All books, children 's books, DVD's, VHS, CD's, and housewares (ornaments, cards etc.)

I saw everything from a Reggae Hanukkah CD to a few copies of Nightmare Before Christmas the variety is ama`zing!

Funny how different the responses were...but Speedway has great set up in the housewares area and said it will be going on until atleast this Friday!

Fiesta Feliz Christmas Show at the Fox!

What: Fiesta Feliz
This holiday production celebrates the vibrant and joyous customs and traditions that take place in Mexico and the USA during the holiday season. Over one hundred dancers, in full holiday regalia, will explicate the Mexican & American Holiday folk legends. This Holiday Family Event will also feature Tucson’s first all female mariachi group Mariachi Viva La Mujer, performing traditional Villancicos (Christmas Carols) from Mexico and the US. created and directed by Julie Gallego, Artistic director of Ballet Folklorico San Juan “Tucson’s Official Folklorico Dance Group”, Ballet Folklorico Arizona and the Viva Arizona Dance Co and Mariachi Viva La Mujer.

Parade of Lights

What: The Tucson tradition of the Parade of Lights

Beginning at 11 am, on the west end of Congress, Mercado San Agustín will host a pleasingly old-fashioned holiday bazaar styled in the European tradition of Christmas markets. Book-ending Congress Street festivities on the east end is the Hotel Congress plaza, which will have pre-parade revelry and include an eccentric, Ho-Co-styled informal tree-lighting. Hot toddies and other refreshments also will be available.
Kids can get their fill of exhibits and healthy snacks at the Children’s Museum, open until 7 pm. Many Downtown shops, including Celtic Corner, will decorate windows, plan specials and stay open during the parade. Beowulf will see windows dripping in holiday lights and an historical display of theatrical lights, costumes and an old makeup warmer.
Armory Park, where the parade ends, will be the site for pre- and post-parade music and warming refreshments including the smooth sounds of a Keli Carpenter.

When: Saturday, December 18th and is set to begin at 6:30pm

Brunch with Santa @ the Zoo PHX &TUCSON

In TUCSON:

What: Holiday Brunch at the Reid Park Zoo with food, stories, crafts, live animal encounters and Santa himself!

We did this with our oldest when he was younger because he was very shy around Santa and it worked out nicely :)

Zoo Lights in Tucson & Phoenix

The Reid Park will be holding the annual Zoo Lights celebration starting tonight!
Falling snow, hot chocolate, music, Santa and lights galore.......

Members only nights are tonight 12/1 and tomorrow 12/2.
It is open to everyone Thursdays-Sundays from December 3-19^th, with special bonus nights Mon., Dec. 20-Wed. Dec. 22.

Event admission is $3 for children 2-14; $4 for member adults and $5 for non-member adults. At the event, a $2 discount will be given to each ticket for a new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots program through December 13^th only.
