Nutrisystem Turbo 10 Week 5 - Exercise? {A Review}

Nutrisystem Turbo 10 Week #5 Exercise?
 {A Review}

I was given the Nutrisystem Program for 3 months in exchange for my review and posts but like always the opinions and posts are all my own.

Nutrisystem Turbo has been a great journey for me and as I look at week #5 for this review, I realize that, for me, weight loss and getting healthy really does have a lot to do with the food choices I make. However, I decided that I wanted to step up the excercise. I LOVE to dance. In some other life, I was a professional dancer. In this life, I am still a dancer just one that performs in my living room and in Zumba class ;)
I started doing dance workouts on YouTube and going to my local YMCA (Ott Ymca in Tucson) to get my groove on and I think it is really helping to have more energy and keep up with my kids. I am also walking and jogging  ok, mainly walking almost every night. My teaching job helps me rack up the steps each weekday on my step tracker. I have set a goal of 15,000 minimum steps each day. I don't always make it but it really pushes me to do better and try to move more.
So, although Nutrisytem provides easy meals and snacks to keep me on track they also offer an app called NUMI that I use and it tracks activity, water and really helps me stay on track.I loving this program and it is encouraging to see some changes in my body and the way I feel.

This week, I lost  another 2 pounds! A total of 13 pounds in 5 weeks, 228 to 215-can't wait to be under 200!

Nutrisystem Turbo 10 Week #4 {A Review} So Many Choices

Nutrisystem Turbo 10 Week #4 {A Review}
I was given the Nutrisystem Program for 3 months in exchange for my review and posts but like always the opinions and posts are all my own.
This week for me has been about finding my favorites. The Nutrisystem Turbo 10 plan has over 25 options for breakfast alone.  I have been trying different combos adding in the PowerFuels (healthy protein choices) and the SmartCarbs.There are so many choices for meals on Nutrisystem, you will find the things you like and can order more of those.
For breakfast, I have been preparing the waffles with peanut butter or almond butter.This is an easy meal to quickly make on a school morning for me before teaching. It keeps me fueled until my mid-morning snack.
For lunch, I have been choosing a lot of wraps and different veggies. I like cucumbers and carrots for a refreshing side with the melts like this one with some 0 calorie ranch dressing.
For dinner, there are so many great options and I usually add jalapeños to everything- see my week #3 review below about spicing all my food up. This week, the kids got to have carryout pizza and I didn't eat any of it- I repeat, I didn't eat any of it. That is a BIG win for me! The easiest thing for me to do was have my own pizza from Nutrisystem and add veggies and chiles to the top.
For desserts and snacks- I like mainly the chocolate options and now that I have tried so many different things, I ordered many of my favorites for next month. The plan is flexible and you can choose your faves- I really like that. It helps me to feel like I am not on a "diet" but just making better choices.

This week I lost 2 pounds! A total of 11 pounds in 4 weeks, 228 to 217- getting there :)

Nutrisystem Turbo 10 Week #3 Spice it up! {A Review}

Nutrisystem Turbo 10 Week #3 Spice it up!
{A Review}
I was given the Nutrisystem Program for 3 months in exchange for my review and posts but like always the opinions and posts are all my own.

I have been back home from vacation and besides one Las Vegas buffet in the 3rd week- I have been able to cook my own veggies...and lost of veggies.  I have been eating sautéed yellow quash and zucchini, roasted peppers and onions, asparagus, cucumber sticks, mini carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli this week. I have also been added chiles to my meals. Jalapeños on my sandwiches- sautéed peppers with my eggs and a lot of spice to my foods. I have made sure that I have gotten 4-6 serving of veggies each day and I love that part of the Nutrisystem Turbo 10 Program. It has helped me to try new vegetables and ways to prepare them- especially with the peppers and spice.

The desserts are really good and knowing that I get something sweet at the end of the day is helpful motivation during the day when you know those coworkers arrive with donuts.  It really isn't so difficult when I have so many chocolate options, ice cream options, and warm apple pie options- the dessert list is long- check it all out at Nutrisystem.com

So yep! this post is all about chiles, veggies and desserts - three things that have really helped me keep going without any hunger and without deviating from the plan.

Down 2.2 more pounds. Total lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks. 228 to 219!

Nutrisystem Turbo 10 Week #2 {A Review}

I was given the Nutrisystem Program for 3 months in exchange for my review and posts but like always the opinions and posts are all my own.

If you read my first week review of Nutrisystem Turbo 10 you know I was successful and also a bit hungry at the beginning. See all the details HERE. This week, I continued to be successful but not hungry at all this time around.

There is a great option after week one that allows for flex meals- they are basically nutritious meals you create yourself with power fuels- proteins and smartcarbs- carbs ;) Nutrisystem provides you lots of ideas. This allowed me to eat out a few times on vacation- and yes I even had some ice cream and Ghirardelli chocolate at the factory and store in San Francisco. All of week 2 was on vacation so it was a test for sure.

I loaded up all my meals with lots of veggies and if we ate in a restaurant I would order steamed veggies to still go out and enjoy that time with the family on vacation. We were a group of 8 traveling and everybody else was content with eating giant calorie-full items but I din't miss them at all. I was really surprised but I did not want them even one bit.

I did take along many of the easy bars and shakes and at the end of the week I was a bit scared to get on the scale but I did lose 1.4 lbs - so my current loss is a total of 6.8 pounds in two weeks! I am down from 228 to 221.2  and feel great!

Nutrisystem Turbo 10 Week #1 Review

I was given the Nutrisystem Program for 3 months in exchange for my review and posts but like always the opinions and posts are all my own.
Nutrisystem Turbo 10  Week #1 Review

The first week was simple to follow- no guessing about portion size or anything and it really jump started my journey with notable results! The first week of food is clearly labeled in a box and includes some yummy shakes and on the go snacks.  The first day was a bit difficult for me and I am not going to lie - I felt hungry. My portions sizes were drastically different from my usual gigantic unhealthy ones and I couldn't wait for my next snack or shake.  By the second day, it was much better and I added in a lot more fresh veggies.
By the end of the week, I was feeling great. Two of the days we were on a road trip but the non-frozen items were easy to take a long and I even stopped at gas stations and made my shakes- it really was an easy on the go way to work on getting healthier. The snacks and breakfast bars went everywhere with me - even on our 5 hour helicopter journey! Nutrisystem Turbo 10 is working for me and even on my travel blogging journeys.

I noticed that my face was looking thinner even after the first week and when I stepped on the scale I had lost 5.4 pounds!

I cannot wait to share week #2 with you because I got to start adding in more foods and was traveling, so we will see how that goes.

See why I chose Nutrisystem HERE.

My Nutrisystem Journey Begins Now

I was given the Nutrisystem Program for 3 months in exchange for my review and posts but like always the opinions and posts are all my own.

I am so excited to begin my Nutrisystem weight loss journey!  I have been very overweight on and off for a long time but haven't been able to lose very week since having children. My first beautiful baby was born10 years ago, so there is no excuse for baby weight any more when you have a tween in the house.

I like to exercise but I also snack on foods that my kids and hubby eat- which I should not be eating. Refried beans with lard on flour tortillas are not exactly going to help me lose the inches. Sometimes, I might just finish the mac and cheese too.

As a busy mom and teacher, finding healthy options on the go isn't always easy. After receiving my fist shipment of Nutrisystem Turbo TakeOff that looks like it will no longer be a problem. Easy packaged on the go items to take with me are making this super easy.

I also love that I will be adding fresh vegetables and fruit along the way so I can easily incorporate those items into my family's meals. There are recipes to make steamed vegetables tasty with condiments and I will be using my weekly produce price match list HERE to shop for those additional fresh and nutritious items.

Follow along with me on my progress weekly as my goal is to be healthier than when I started; whether that be pounds, inches, energy or hopefully all 3. I am starting at a weight of 226 and will let you know every week where I am at.

Produce List for Arizona Price Match 7/6-7/12

This post may contain affiliate links and be sponsored.Please see my disclosure policy HERE

I like price-matching on Wednesday because there are deals for Sprouts, Food City and El Super for produce not available any other day! Walmart and Target will also price match Bashas, Fry's, Safeway and Albertson's while there.
Many of the deals are still good for the week check the dates.Walmart's policy says you do not have to have the ad with you but I printed my list to help me! Policy HERE to print or show at the store if you have any problems.
Also, they will not price match items that are sold by the pound in their store but sold per item at another store and vice versa.

THERE Is a new TAB on the blog to find this weekly post HERE

El Super HERE~ just scroll down and look for "miercoles

Go to the on-line ad for Food City HERE

The items that say Wednesday only are only on Wednesday for that price- a bit misleading because to the right where the price is it says valid until the end of the ad date but that is NOT correct- They are Wednesday only.

Wednesday ONLY:

All WEEK
